Finishing third in the PIAA District III Class 1A field hockey tournament was not going to stop the team from Susquenita.
In fact, it likely served as motivation.
Susquenita, which lost to Boiling Springs in the District III semifinals, got a chance for revenge in the state finals and took advantage of it by defeating the Bubblers 2-0 as Susquenita won its first PIAA championship in any sport, November 15th at Cumberland Valley.
Boiling Springs, the District III champs, rolled to the finals, allowing only one goal in the first three PIAA games.
Congrats to both teams for representing District III.
